“I work, so I didn’t think I’d qualify for any assistance with a new boiler”
The noises coming from Mrs King’s boiler told her that it was time for it to be replaced, but it was only a chance conversation with a friend that made her realise that she may be entitled to a free boiler grant.
“I thought it would cost thousands to replace the boiler. I didn’t believe I’d qualify for a grant until I applied through Find Energy Savings”
Mrs King’s boiler was 14 years old, and was temperamental and inefficient. With a young child, her priority was to ensure that she replaced with a reliable boiler from a reputable brand.
“The application process was straight-forward enough, and within a day or so I’d received a call from the contractor looking to carry out the survey. Within seven weeks, they’d fitted the replacement boiler”
The timescale wasn’t the only factor which impressed Mrs King. She was impressed with the thoroughness of the service too.
“The surveyor and the engineers were all very good. The surveyor talked me through the process when they came for the first appointment, and when they came to fit the boiler they were really professional. Very professional. They fitted a new Ideal boiler, and it’s excellent.”
And Mrs King is confident that the impact of a new boiler will be seen in lower energy bills this winter too.
